A few details of the upcoming SPEC ~Close~ movie project were released on Oricon earlier this afternoon. SPEC ~Close~ will be a 2 part film with both parts being released in the fall successively. Her partner, Sebumi Takeru (played by Kase Ryo), was the department’s star detective until an incident caused him to be transferred to the less prestigious Mishou division. The two detectives solve cases and track down criminals that posses special abilities (called SPEC) that other departments are unable to handle.
After the drama concluded, a TV special and feature length movie (titled SPEC ~Ten~) was released which followed up events from the drama. Osamu’s role will be “Sekai”, the enigmatic man in white, who appeared at the end of the previous movie.
Just before the release of the 2 new movies, a new special will be aired this fall on TBS. The new special will be titled SPEC ~Zero~ and is an origin story which tells the events of how Toma lost her hand.
